A Hybrid Cloud Framework for Regulatory Compliance in Enterprise Information Systems
Keywords:
Hybrid cloud, regulatory compliance, enterprise information systems, cloud governance, security architecture, auditabilityAbstract
Enterprise information systems are increasingly adopting hybrid cloud architectures to balance scalability, cost efficiency, and operational control. At the same time, organizations operate under growing regulatory obligations related to data protection, auditability, operational resilience, and accountability. These parallel developments create architectural challenges, as compliance requirements must be enforced consistently across heterogeneous environments spanning on-premises infrastructure and public cloud services. This review examines research on hybrid cloud frameworks through the lens of regulatory compliance in enterprise information systems. By synthesizing literature across cloud computing, enterprise architecture, governance, and security, the article identifies architectural patterns, control mechanisms, and governance strategies that enable compliant hybrid cloud adoption while preserving enterprise agility.
